A born entrepreneur, Jason has a passion for helping others bring their ideas to market.

Described by his peers as an entrepreneur, marketing strategist, and leader with over a decade of experience in the entrepreneurial and marketing community, he is a guy who will get things done. Jason is a graduate of the University of Manitoba, from which he holds a B.R.S. degree. It was here that some of his early entrepreneurial ideas began to form. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Jason began his career learning global logistics, sales and marketing with UPS Canada. Realizing that a global organization wasn’t for him, he joined an up and coming branding / advertising agency and in 2003 took on the role of Director of Business Development with Cocoon Branding and later became VP, Business Development. During his tenure there, Jason worked with many brands of all sizes and in many industries, namely – Scotiabank, PMA Canada, William Grant & Sons, Red Bull Canada, and A&S Homes.

Concurrently, Jason’s entrepreneurial instincts resurfaced and led him to launch the Toban Experience – a hop-on hop-off adventure tour that enables backpackers the opportunity to explore and experience Southeastern Manitoba’s culture, places, and activities – and later Oi Furniture – a company committed to producing eco-friendly, adaptable furniture that has been featured on CBC’s Dragons’ Den.

Since the official inception of Catapult, Jason has been engaged by entrepreneurs in the tech (C3A, FuzzyBit, Apptius, Max), gaming (Statuation), tourism (Winnipeg Trolley Company), financial services (Trilogy Wealth Management), housing (A & S Homes, Ventura Developments), manufacturing (Oi, LifeStyle Glass) consumer packaged goods (Solberry) and financial industries (Westoba).

Jason is also an active member of Manitoba’s volunteer community. In addition to seven years as hockey coach for Miles MacDonnell High School and the Fort Garry Twins, Jason has been a leader in the marketing community sitting as President of the Canadian Marketing Association – Manitoba Chapter (CMA Manitoba) from 2005-2013. Currently, Jason is an mentor of new entrepreneurs through the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF).

Jason has been frequently quoted in the Winnipeg Free Press, and has appeared on CityLine and CBC’s Dragons’ Den.

Jason works one-one-one with all of his clients and is proud of his long lasting relationships. If you would like to ask Jason a question feel free to contact him here.
